Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026  ·  Effective date: 25 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Zokit Technologies Private Limited ("Zokit", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores and protects your information when you use the Zokit mobile application, our website at www.zokit.in, and related services (together, the "Platform").

Zokit supplies construction materials: it purchases goods from local suppliers and sells and delivers them to buyers in its own name. This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Platform — buyers, suppliers and delivery partners. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

This Policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made thereunder, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the rules framed under it. It is intended to be read and understood on its own, in clear and plain language.

3. How We Use Your Information

4. The Legal Basis for Processing

Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you provide when you use the Platform, and for certain "legitimate uses" permitted by law. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, and doing so will be as easy as it was to give it (see Section 8). Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, and may limit your ability to use certain features.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below:

Delivery partners and suppliers are independent businesses engaged by Zokit. When they receive any of your information to complete a delivery, they are contractually bound to use it lawfully and only for that purpose.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit over secure connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account and device secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, and thereafter only for as long as required to comply with our legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it. Transaction, invoice and tax records are retained for eight (8) years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required under Indian tax and companies law. Account and profile data is deleted on request, except where such records must be retained. Your AI assistant session is not part of this: it is held only while you are building a list and is deleted once your cart is cleared.

You can exercise most of these rights within the app (through your account settings) or by contacting us using the details below. Withdrawing consent is made as easy as giving it. We will respond to your request within the timelines required by law.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to, or integrate, third-party services. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

11. Cross-Border Transfers

Some of our service providers may process or store data on servers located outside India. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure your data is handled in accordance with applicable law and this Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will notify you of material changes. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
